Reentering the Design World
I left my position as designer for a the children's nature magazine Ranger Rick to start my family about a year before the art department swapped out drafting tables for computers. Then my husband and I—for the adventure, independence, and joy of it—decided to home school our three children.
Recently, with the kids grown, I decided to update my design skills in the Graphic Design program at Northern Virginia Community College. The animal icons below were my first foray into Adobe Illustrator. I have found the Adobe applications truly amazing and challenging, and I'm excited to continue building and applying my design and technology skills.
